Master Valdez was born in Beloit WI. He was raised by a single mother who taught him good values and pushed him to be his very best. He started training in the Martial Arts at the age of 8 under Master Jack Simpson in Grand Prairie TX. Master Valdez has always known that he wanted to become a martial arts instructor and became an assistant instructor at the age of twelve. He received his Black Belt at the age of 15 and opened his first dojo at the age of 16.
Master Valdez has won countless championships in forms and sparring and has competed and won in national level tournaments. He was inducted into The U.S. Martial Arts Hall Of Fame in 2004. In 2014 Master Valdez won the Martial Artist of the Year. He earned his 6th degree under Master Royce Young and James Toney in the USKA and his 7th Degree under Grand Master Pat Burleson of the World Martial Arts Ranking Association. He continues to train with his students and pushes them to be their very best.
Master Valdez has been teaching for over 20 years. Martial Arts is his life.
